JAPANESE STAB BINDING CLASS
Description
This introduction-level workshop is designed to familiarize you with Japanese Stab Binding. You will: measure and prepare materials; punch/drill stab patterns; and learn the sequence and rhythm of Japanese-stab binding. In class, you will make 4 Japanese stab-binding notebooks to take home.
Materials: Â All materials will be provided for in-class use. Â You will take home the notebooks you create.
Instructor: Â BRIELLE LEGALET has an Interdisciplinary Visual Arts degree from University of Washington, with a focus on printmaking. Learned how to incorporate different mediums and textures into pieces. Also minored in Architecture, so highly interested in geometric patterns and structures. Brielle builds scenes by interposing images creating a story. Besides printing, Brielle enjoys painting, wood burning, and sewing. She and her family have made their home in Pacifica, where they enjoy the nature of this coastal town and the welcoming community.
